  • Sclera: The sclera makes up more than 80 percent of the surface of your eye, but only a small part is visible. It is the white part of your eye that extends from the cornea to the optic nerve. Its function is to maintain the shape of your eye, protect it from damage and provide an attachment point for the muscles that control eye movement.
